San Angelo ISD hosted our first ever San Angelo READS! Summer Book Patrol Pop-Up Event at Bradford Elementary on Wednesday, June 16, 2021. The morning was filled with summer fun including face painting, book giveaways, live read alouds by our very own SAISD staff, social-emotional activities, and opportunities for parents to register their students for the upcoming school year.
San Angelo ISD is seeking your input to help qualify to receive one-time federal Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) Funds to address learning loss and recovery associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.
Join us this Wednesday, June 16th at Bradford Elementary at 2302 Bradford Street, San Angelo, TX 76903 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm for our first ever San Angelo READS! Summer Book Patrol Pop-Up Event filled with summer fun including book giveaways, shaved ice snow cones from Bahama Bucks, special guests like H-E-Buddy, 94.7 KIXY-FM live on-site, and more! Free meals are available to eat in the school cafeteria as part of our Summer Meals Program for children 18 and under from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.
At San Angelo ISD, we are growing hopes and dreams starting with some of the youngest learners in our community! We are now accepting online applications for the upcoming school year for our full-day Prekindergarten (Pre-k) Program that is open and free to children 4 years old.
On Wednesday, June 9, 2021, as part of San Angelo ISD’s literacy initiative San Angelo READS!, District Administrators and Principals gathered books to give to nine deserving San Angelo ISD students through a fun, new program called the Summer Book Patrol. With the help of VividPop Balloons, the students received a bag of books, reading activities, snacks, and a beautiful bouquet of balloons to have as their own to encourage them to keep reading over the summer break and to foster a lifetime love for literacy.
