San Angelo ISD Announces New Principals and Leadership for the 2024-2025 School Year

San Angelo ISD is pleased to announce the following new principals and district leadership in advance of the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. 

Principals

LaTonia Sutton is the new Principal of Lone Star Middle School, replacing Dr. Amy Lemaster. Mrs. Sutton most recently served as SAISD Director of Human Resources. She has been in Education for 16 years, all with SAISD. She has served as a teacher, ELAR Department Leader, and Middle School Assistant Principal at Lincoln and Lone Star Middle School. Mrs. Sutton holds a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies from Angelo State University and a Master of Education in Educational Administration also from Angelo State University.

Katherine (Katie) Rudolph is the new Principal of Reagan Elementary, replacing Patricia Hartman. Ms. Rudolph has most recently served as Assistant Principal at Glenn Middle School for the past four years. Prior to serving at Glenn, Ms. Rudolph served as an Instructional Coach at Lincoln Middle School, and 7th-grade English teacher/coach at Lee (Lone Star) Middle School. She has been in Education since 2012, all at SAISD. Ms. Rudolph holds a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology from Angelo State University and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from West Texas A&M.

April Johnson is the new Principal of Fannin Elementary, replacing Dana Felts, who is now serving as SAISD’s new Director of Early Childhood. Ms. Johnson most recently served as the Principal at Austin Elementary, which will be consolidated into McGill Elementary starting in August 2024. She has been in Education since 2013, all at SAISD. She first worked as a teacher at Bradford Elementary, then assistant principal at Lone Star Middle School, then assistant principal at Austin Elementary and then Principal at Austin Elementary. Ms. Johnson holds a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies, a Master of Arts and a Master of Education, all from Angelo State University.

District Leadership

Brandy Tyner is SAISD’s new Executive Director of Special Programs. Mrs. Tyner most recently served as Director of Special Programs and has a strong instructional background as an instructional coach, campus assistant principal and principal at Reagan Elementary with specialized special education services.

Tiffani Hebert is SAISD’s new Director of Child Nutrition. She most recently served as Assistant Director of Child Nutrition. Ms. Hebert has been in Education for nine years, all at SAISD. She has also previously served Child Nutrition Accounts Payable Clerk, Child Nutrition Directors Secretary and Child Nutrition Operations Specialist. Ms. Hebert holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Park University and a Certification in School Nutrition from the Texas Association of School Nutrition.

Lee Livingston is SAISD’s new Director of Transportation. He will be replacing Roger Garcia who took over as Interim Director of Transportation to finish the 2023-2024 school year. Mr. Livingston comes to SAISD from Virginia with more than 30 years experience in transportation and 10 years experience as Director of Transportation with public schools.

Lauri Herndon is SAISD’s new Director of 504 Services. Mrs. Herndon most recently served as principal at Alta Loma Elementary, which will be consolidated into Fannin Elementary starting in August 2024. With 28 years of service to education, she previously served as a teacher at Bowie Elementary and assistant principal at Glenn and Lone Star Middle School.

Dana Felts is SAISD’s new Director of Early Childhood Education. She most recently served as Principal of Fannin Elementary. Mrs. Felts has a strong background in early childhood education, also previously serving as a teacher at Bradford Elementary, curriculum coordinator at Head Start, and assistant principal at Fannin and Bowie Elementary. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Child Development and Learning and a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction, both from Angelo State University.

Nikki Parker is SAISD’s new Academic Data Coordinator. Ms. Parker most recently served as the Instructional Coach for Glenn Middle School. She has been in Education since 2012 and has been with San Angelo ISD since 2020. Ms. Parker holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Colorado State University, a Master of Business Administration from University of Phoenix and is pursuing her Doctor of Education degree from Capella University.

Marcie Featherston is SAISD’s new District Assessment Coordinator. She most recently served as Counselor at Central High School. This is Ms. Featherston’s 20th year in Education and her 16th with SAISD. She previously taught math for five years and has served as a counselor for 11. Ms. Featherston holds a Bachelor of Science from Angelo State University and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Wayland Baptist University.
